Introducing The "It Takes A Village" Collaboration
The social work profession is multifaceted with various avenues of practice. From private practice, policy analyzing, to outreach and child welfare; the possibilities are endless. These same aspects are apparent in all professions and not unique to the helping profession. Throughout one's career journey they may experience various challenges and life changes that helped to create their current state of practice. With ongoing CEU and licensure updates, to even expansions of practice sites, the professional realm is ever-changing. As Black Women in social work and Black professionals in general, we often are faced with even more unique hardships versus our counterparts. This soulful anthology consists of seven successful Black Women in social work who have joined forces to share their personal stories of career inspiration, challenges, triumphs, and areas for growth that are adaptable in any career setting. Set to the tone of inspirational quotes, each chapter is shared with love and expertise that professionals of all levels can enjoy. It truly takes a village and we are connecting with you to extend the village.
