Flowers carry different meanings for different people. They are seen at weddings to symbolize the budding of another stage in love. They are seen at funerals and can symbolize support, healing, and transition. They are seen in hospitals to indicate hope. They are seen at graduations to inspire and say "Job well done". They are seen at pageants as a symbol of beauty. Flowers are strategically positioned in grocery stores as to ask "Do you have a reason for these?". Flower baths in Bali promote muscle relief, stress reduction, and detox. In the palm of your hand, you have the option to order flowers that say "I was thinking of you", with the press of a button. They are tossed at weddings as to say "This great thing is going to happen to you next". Flowers are thought to spruce up kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, and offices. Flowers say "I am sorry" and "I want to see you smile". Flowers have been spotted on many first dates and 5 year anniversaries. Aside from being a feel-good, flowers also provide nutrients to many insects and plants. Lavender, marigold, and chamomile are a few flowers that can be safe for digestion. Flowers are thought to bring about positive thoughts and feelings through observation.
I have received flowers for different reasons. I have received the first date flowers, the graduation flowers, the I was just thinking about you flowers, and even the sorry for your loss flowers. I have received the I love you flowers, and the it looks like your having a rough day flowers. I received the your flowers need to be replaced flowers, and the "welcome to the team" flowers. I have received the "Happy Mother's Day" and the "Happy Anniversary " flowers. I have gifted the get well, sympathy, birthday, and just because flowers.
In my experience with flowers, I have come to conclude that flowers are usually a sign of a good intention. They are a sign of hope, joy, love, and a host of other positive representations. I decided to navigate life as though I am walking on flowers. What this means is, when I fall asleep at night, I tell myself that I am on a bed of flowers. That I am resting in good intentions. That I am ontop of love, hope, joy, peace, growth and inspiration. The days challenges feel less abrasive when your mind believes that you are ontop of flowers. The days challenges feel less defeating when you believe that flowers will be at your feet upon awakening. To fall asleep with such a belief sets the tone for the following day. The mind is capable of believing what you tell it. If you tell your mind that good exist, your mind will search for the good. If you tell your mind that danger is present, it will confirm that for you and attemt to protect you.
The belief of walking on flowers is that good is searching for you and it is within you. When you wake in the morning, act as though there are flowers at your feet. As one prepares to bathe for the day, bathe as though there are flowers falling from the faucet. As one heads to approach life's demands, approach them as if you can feel petals beneath your feet; feel the texture between each toe. Speak as though there are flowers flowing from your lips. Walking on flowers is about immersing oneself in life's nectar. I am a magnet for good. Walking on flowers does not mean that challenges will abandon you completely. It does mean that if challenges arise, one can navigate with more ease and comfort. Walking on flowers is the belief that there is enough good to carry you throughout the day. That there is no shortage. Flowers are at your feet each step you take and they are patiently awaiting your next step. Your purpose in walking on flowers may vary. One day the flowers may appear to inspire you, another day may appear to speak to the love in you, another day they may appear to instill hope within you. You have the freedom to decide the purpose of the flowers at your feet.
"If we could see the miracle of a single flower clearly our whole life would change"
